Implementing Diet Changes Part 1

Changing our diet seemed like the most logical place to start for a couple "Seeking Pure Living".

The most important and easiest changes we thought we could make was to add in more fresh vegetables and fruits. Ideally, to eat as many of them as we could in their raw state.

So we are not wasteful, we are using up our store bought, bottled salad dressings for the time being to eat with some of our veggies. But once those are gone you can bet I'm going to look up healthier alternatives.

The easiest way we have found to get more raw fruits and veggies into our diet is to make smoothies! Spinach or Kale can easily be hidden in fruit smoothies, so you get all their nutrients but with a fruity taste. The natural sugars in the fruits are enough so that there is no need to add any type of sweetener, but if you do need a little more sweet then try adding some honey. I have fun making all sorts of different combinations and recommend you try it out for yourself.

Don't be scared to try other ingredients in your smoothies, depending on what type of taste you are going for. I have experimented with almonds, flax seed, maca powder, chia seeds, oats, vanilla extract and goji berries.

So, Step 1 in changing your diet for the better is as easy as adding in more fruits and vegetables. They are full of vitamins and minerals, the fiber content will keep your fuller for longer and loading up with good and nutritious calories and fats will make you less likely to grab for something that just has no nutritional value.
